today devin turned 8 months old! like i said last month, im having some trouble accepting the fact that his age is 8 months. i know hes the same beautiful, happy baby he would have been if he was born on his due date and we actually got 3 "extra " months with him on earth but it still stings that my baby who should be 5 months is actually 8 months and that much closer to his 1 year birthday. i want to call him my 5 month old! i still have'nt gotten over that aspect of being a preemie mom, maybe one day :( even with the strange emotions every time another 23rd of the month roles around, im still beyond happy and way beyond proud of my 5ish or 8ish month old baby!
we gave devin his first bath in the real tub tonight and he did'nt really know what to think. it is pretty weird seeing your toys floating in what seems like mid air, but wet mid air. it must be weird to experience that for the first time. he just kinda sat there, stunned. and he looked so hurt when his plastic book and keys kept mysteriously moving away from him.

I know exactly what you mean and I haven't accepted it either!! Soon our boys will be toddlers and then college graduates! (ok so time doesn't fly by that fast, but you know what I mean.) I need to get one of those bath seats. We are struggling with the one that fits un the sink. They are just too big for it now.
ReplyDeleteI love that bath seat! What a great idea! Logan is still being bathed in her infant tub!!!! It is hard to accept - especially when developmentally they are more of their adjusted age. I feel like she was shafted two months!! He is such a cutie! We've got to introduce them!
